What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Sloan's Sales & Service?
General Requirements:
- Must continually be able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 100 lbs.
- Must have good eyesight (correctable to 20/20) and normal hearing for diagnostics and trouble shooting equipment.
- Must possess valid commercial driver’s license.
- Must possess cell phone capable of taking and uploading pictures
- Target Responsibilities:
- Pick-up and delivery of equipment to customers in an organized and timely manner.
- Assist in setting up equipment when there are no deliveries available
- Must be able to safely drive a truck with a trailer and have good customer skills
Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drives 3/4 ton truck with trailer to deliver equipment that has been purchased or serviced by the company
- Collects money from customers and records transactions on customer receipt.
- Record delivery information on an app, including pictures of equipment
- Cleans inside of truck
- Wash truck and trailer
- Performs routine maintenance on truck.
- Keep accurate delivery logs and turn into manager
- Perform daily vehicle and trailer walk around and inspection reports
- Meet with supervisor to discuss and review individual performance
