We have an amazing opportunity for a Vice President of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) reporting to the Chief Officer of Engineering at our Franklin Park location. This will be a crucial role in Sloan Valve’s transforming environment. This role will operate at the executive level with strong reporting ties to the Office of the President. The Vice President of Enterprise Project Management will be responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic direction, execution, and delivery of enterprise-wide projects. This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in project management, change management, exceptional leadership competencies, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams towards achieving organizational goals. This role with establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and best practices.

The ideal leader will have a demonstrated ability to foster an environment that motivates, inspires, and respects individuals while promoting team cohesiveness to achieve desired outcomes. What you’ll do:
  • Project Leadership: Lead the management, implementation, and reporting of significant cross-functional programs and initiatives. Collaborate with functional leaders to develop roadmaps, plans, timelines, and make resourcing decisions based on current and future requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership and department heads to define, prioritize, and execute high-impact projects. Serve as a key liaison between the PMO, stake holders, executives, and Office of the President, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
  • PMO Team Leadership: Evaluate current talent and develop or hire to build a high performing project management team. Mentor project managers and promote a collaborative, accountable work environment.
  • Risk and Change Management: Proactively identify and manage project risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place. Hold all team members and leaders accountable and encourage cooperation on all projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Perform post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and apply them to future planning. Promote continuous improvement through best practice sharing and training.
  • Transparency: Develop executive-level reporting regarding status and risks across all programs.
  • Install a project management methodology that improves delivery and accountability by encompassing: Change Requests, Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions Mentoring for skill and culture change. Tools for project planning, Dashboards and collaborative sites for communication and teamwork. Detailed project plans for predictability and RACI.

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's Degree in In Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 10 Years Relevant Experience in project and program management and leadership.
  • 5 Years Relevant Experience in a senior leadership role preferably leading a Project Management Office.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Active PMP certification.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex projects across multiple functions.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this U.S.-based position is $ $187,300 - $208,300 annually.

This position is eligible to participate in the company incentive plan. The terms and conditions of the company incentive plan will be provided to plan participants on an annual basis.

Our compensation range reflects our good faith estimate of what an ideal candidate can expect, but final agreed upon compensation will always be based on the individual candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related or market factors that may prove relevant during the hiring process.
