What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server- PM position at Sloppy Joe's Bar?
We are looking for an energetic and friendly person to fill our PM Server position at Sloppy Joe's Bar! You’ll be the face of our restaurant and bar and responsible for our customers’ experiences. PM Server's responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. Food service stops after 10PM and we will only allow customers 21 and over to come in after that time. Tables will remain and Servers will be required to continue service to tables and people around the dance floor. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. This is a very fast-paced position! Pay is minimum wage plus tips and you leave with all tips every night. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you! Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality, timely service that will help us maintain long standing existing customers and attract new customers. All applicants must be over 21 and and legal to work in the US.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Attend to customers upon entrance
- Present menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Take and serve orders in a timely fashion
- Answer questions or make recommendations for upselling products
- Collaborate with other servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Issue bills and accept payment
Skills
- Proven high volume serving or waitering experience
- Hands-on experience in cashier duties
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- Patience and customer-oriented approach
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Able to multi task, stay organized and calm under pressure
- Ability to mix drinks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $9.98 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
