SLP Communication Foundations provides Special Education services to young children and families in the EI program. Our Early Intervention team is committed to making a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.
SLP Communication Foundations provides the ability for a Special Instructor (Special Education Teacher) to work in a unique setting, while growing professionally, and working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to serve the Early Intervention population. This EI position gives you the flexibility to create your own schedule and work directly with members of your community.
We are currently seeking a Special Instructor / Special Education Teacher to provide Early Intervention services in the Schenectady area.

Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in related fields of Early Childhood Development or Special Education
- Minimum of 1,000 hours working with children ages birth to 3 years old
- Permanent or provisional certificate in students with disabilities for birth through grade 2
Responsibilities:
- Provide services to children with special needs and their families in their home, daycare, community.
- Work closely with caregivers
- Prepare and submit daily session notes, progress notes, and other reports
