What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Surveyor and Maintenance Tech position at SLPM Property Management?
We are searching for someone that can make their own schedule, survey our properties, report issues and repairing minor defects found during the surveys. This is a great position to pick-up experience and connections in the real estate and maintenance industry while making your own schedule.
You will receive training on how to survey a property utilizing our software and tools. During these surveys, should maintenance issues arise that need immediate attention, you may be asked to make repairs immediately. Training will be provided for repairs if necessary. These surveys can take place any day of the week but should be done from 9AM to 5PM.
Surveys pay $15 per Survey and typically take about 15-30 minutes to conduct depending on conditions / distractions. With strong scheduling skills, you’ll be able to conduct several surveys within a few hours. Mileage compensated.
Maintenance is done at $40/hr. Most maintenance you conduct during surveys will be 1-hour or less, and we pay on a 1-hour minimum, ensuring you’re given the full hour anytime you begin repairs.

- Must own and be proficient using smart phones and their camera
- Must have a reliable vehicle and tools
- Must live local
- Must be responsive to calls and requests from management
- Must present well and communicate with tenants in a professional manner
- Must have punctual attendance to appointments
- 2 Years maintenance work experience a plus!
