Job Description
Managing small to medium size construction projects and supporting larger more complex projects. The candidate may participate in managing and or directly administering construction projects as a Chief Inspector with a specific focus on Connecticut Department of Transportation (CT DOT) inspection process, this includes municipal projects that are federally funded through CT DOT. The candidate may be requested to assist in interviewing for potential projects at the municipal and state levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Chief Inspector/Senior Inspector services for CT DOT Construction Inspection Projects
- Review Contract Documents
- Coordinate with Clients and Contractors
- Prepare records for oversight of construction Projects including daily inspection reports, testing protocols and the CT DOT five volume system for record keeping
- Prepare for and run meetings
- Develop and maintain project records throughout construction
- Prepare Estimates and Change Orders
- Monitor, manage and execute necessary material testing
- Prepare project correspondence
- Review subordinate inspection staff work including daily reports, computations, testing results, correspondence
- Coordinate with utility companies and various agencies of the industry as necessary
- Prepare for and present at interviews for future work
The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $85,000.00 to $115,000.00. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
The pay range for this job working in Colorado is $85,000.00 to $115,000.00.
