SLR International Corporation is seeking a Mid-Level Civil Engineer to join our growing Denver, Colorado office. The successful candidate will have 4 to 8 years professional experience as a Civil Engineer and will possess a bachelor’s degree. A licensed PE is preferred.
The civil engineer will work under the supervision of a senior licensed professional engineer to support project managers on planning; design; permitting; engineering analysis; and preparation of plans and specifications, design analysis and calculations, and technical reports for a wide variety of mining and industrial projects.

Technical Skills/Experience
Job Description
- 4 to 8 years professional experience as a Civil Engineer
- Experience in civil design including hydrology, hydraulics, site and grading plans, liner and cover designs, with experience in mining applications preferred
- Expertise with Excel
- Proficient with AutoCAD civil 3D, with focus on earthworks, grading, drainage, and containment structures (ponds, landfills, waste piles, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience in geotechnical engineering preferred
- Proficient with slope stability analysis
- Experience in conducting site visits, construction quality assurance (CQA) and field investigations as necessary
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering required
- M.Sc. preferred
- EIT is required
- PE is preferred, but on track to become appropriately licensed is required
- Ability to procure multi-state engineering licensing
- Self-motivated
- Detail oriented
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to effectively prioritize work and contribute to project teams
- Excellent time management skills
- Understands, and can balance budgets and deadlines
- Needs little oversight on straightforward tasks
