SLR International Corporation is seeking an entry to junior level, Environmental Scientist, Geologist, or Engineer to join our environmental due diligence group. Preferable candidates will demonstrate a strong, relevant academic and employment background and a passion for environmental work. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing international environmental consulting organization.
Key Responsibilities
Required Technical Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Geology
Minimum 0-2 two years of previous environmental due diligence experience
Comfortability working at industrial client facilities and remote timberland forests in the US
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing technical reports
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment; handling multiple project assignments; meeting deadlines; and providing high-quality work products
Possess a valid driver’s license
Ability to travel frequently by airplane and car, including some overnight travel
Preferred Technical Skills And Experience
Previous consulting experience is ideal.
Familiarity with state and federal environmental regulations
Personal Attributes
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Superior communication and writing skills
Comfortable with public speaking
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Excellent time management skills
Understands budgets and deadlines
Needs little oversight on common tasks
Thinks and plans ahead
Key Responsibilities
The candidate selected for this role will work within our due diligence group, assisting with a variety of functions related to environmental review in connection with property and business acquisitions and divestitures. Key functions in this role include performing desktop and site environmental evaluations and assessments of industrial and timberland sites. Positions in this group provide great opportunities for growth and gaining broad experience, as our due diligence work often requires multi-faceted reviews of soil and groundwater issues, compliance programs, health and safety performance, and broader sustainability topics.
Compensation Range:
The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $63,000 to $73,000.00. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
