Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Survey Manager to lead our surveying team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing survey projects from inception to completion, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying techniques, as well as proficiency in various software applications used in the field. The Survey Manager will play a crucial role in project planning, execution, and client communication.
Hybrid in office/remote work plan negotiable.
Duties
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of survey projects, including planning (budgeting), execution, and reporting.
- Manage field crews
- Coordinate with branch offices for job prioritization and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain project schematics.
- Analyze geographical data using GIS software to support project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding surveying practices.
- Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to integrate survey data into project designs.
- Train and mentor junior survey staff on best practices and technical skills.
- Review and validate survey results for accuracy before submission to clients.
Skills
- WV Professional Surveyor license preferred. Additional state licensures a plus.
- 10 years experience preferred in land surveying
- Management experience a plus
- Proficiency in Carlson Surv CAD
- Experience in oil & gas industry road design & well pad design, construction layout, ALTA and boundary surveys.
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients and team members through excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in land surveying.
