Production Supervisor -Second Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Second Shift (2pm-10:30 pm) Manufacturing Production Supervisor. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes during the second shift. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish to effectively communicate with all team members and support a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate activities of manufacturing personnel during the second shift to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Monitor production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Train and mentor new employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities within the manufacturing environment.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery and collaborate with maintenance staff to address any issues or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and quality metrics, and generate reports for management review.
• Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and recognition of employee contributions.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to ensure seamless coordination of activities across shifts and functions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in cross-functional teams to drive process optimization and innovation.
• Shipment tracking for materials, out-vendor operations and/or product shipments.
• Implement contingency plans when capacity availability commitments are at risk and initiates work-around activities.
• Coordinate material movements and transactions including shipping, receiving and WIP.
• Act as safety coordinator for the locations.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as industrial engineering, operations management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control principles.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals.
• Effective problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data analysis, reporting, and communication.
• Flexibility to work second shift hours and weekends as needed.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,389.00 - $73,260.00 per year
