Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of manufacturing personnel during the second shift to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Monitor production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Train and mentor new employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities within the manufacturing environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery and collaborate with maintenance staff to address any issues or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and quality metrics, and generate reports for management review.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and recognition of employee contributions.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to ensure seamless coordination of activities across shifts and functions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in cross-functional teams to drive process optimization and innovation.
- Shipment tracking for materials, out-vendor operations and/or product shipments.
- Implement contingency plans when capacity availability commitments are at risk and initiates work-around activities.
- Coordinate material movements and transactions including shipping, receiving and WIP.
- Act as safety coordinator for the locations.
- Other duties as necessary
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as industrial engineering, operations management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control principles.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data analysis, reporting, and communication.
- Flexibility to work second shift hours and weekends as needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
