POSITION SUMMARY
Journeyman Lineman will be expected to safely build, maintain, and repair electric and telecommunication utility infrastructure following approved standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Safely build, maintain, and repair sub-transmission and distribution power lines, associated electrical equipment, and telecommunication lines.
· Be “On Call” and respond to utility outages, trouble calls, or other member services as requested.
· Cable locating as requested.
· Tree Trimming as requested.
· Accurately maintain job briefings, vehicle inspections, outage reports, GIS updates, material sheets, and other job forms and administrative tasks as requested.
· Maintain tools, equipment, materials, vehicles, and other as requested.
· Assists in the training of Apprentice Linemen.
· Comply with Cooperative safety manual, policies, procedures, labor agreement, industry codes, regulations.
· Complete education and training to maintain qualified worker requirements, personal development, or as requested.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
· Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
· Must have a certificate of completion for a 4-year State accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent.
· Must have a valid journeyman lineman certification.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Colorado Commercial Class A Driver’s License (CDL).
- Must have a valid CPR/First Aid certification.
· Must have strong interpersonal behavior skills and communicate clearly with coworkers and members.
· Must be able to operate computers, communication equipment, and standard office equipment.
· Must be able to work outside during all weather conditions and terrain on a regular and “On-Call” basis, in a safe and productive manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS
· Majority of activities are performed outside in all kinds of weather.
· Irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
· Travel outside the system may be required.
· Activities performed are driving, sitting, and walking, working at various heights above the ground both off the pole and from aerial devices.
