What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stockroom Attendant position at SLY LLC?
Carrier Process Equipment Group (CPEG) is a Louisville-based company with multiple businesses specializing in material handling and processing equipment. We are looking for the BEST employees in the industry to help us grow our business at Sly in Mathiston.
We are currently hiring a Stockroom Attendant.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with opportunities to work overtime on Fridays with supervisor approval.
What you’ll do
- Conduct all business in accordance with all company policies and safety practices.
- Monitor “floor stock” items manually and order as needed.
- Ensure stock is tagged with computer number and stored properly.
- Pull items to fill job carts for new orders.
- Pull field material items for new orders.
- Attend stockroom window to fulfill floor requests.
- Responsible for placing received materials on shelves and/or appropriate location.
- Responsible for restocking any unused or returned items to the stockroom.
- Relieve all materials from Encompix.
Marginal or peripheral functions
- Make cycle counts and solve any discrepancies.
- Assist with annual stockroom inventory.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to stand and/or walk around the plant for up to 7 hours a day.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Able to work varied hours and shifts if required.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Able understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Able to wearing Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE), and operate equipment in a safe manner as trained.
- Be committed to working safely, being mindful of one’s own safety and the safety of co-works.
- Able to understand and follow directions.
- Excellent team player.
- Must be dedicated to customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a high standard of quality of work.
Preferred qualifications
- Minimum of High School diploma or G.E.D.
