Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks within our warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy. Additionally, this role will involve ticketing products and performing simple labor tasks to support overall warehouse operations. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Unloading: Unload incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies.
Inventory Management: Accurately record and manage inventory levels, ensuring proper storage and organization of materials.
Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move and store materials.
Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and report any issues or defects to supervisors.
Ticketing: Apply price tags, labels, and tickets to products as required, ensuring correct and clear labeling.
Simple Labor Work: Perform basic labor tasks such as assembling products, packaging items, and assisting in warehouse maintenance.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and returns.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification is a plus).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
