Publications and Operations Manager
The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) is a leading international trade association representing 3, signatory contracting firms across the globe. SMACNA is looking for a Publications and Operations Manager to join its Accounting and Operations department in its Chantilly VA headquarters office. The position requires excellent organizational and time management skills; written and verbal communication skills; prioritizing and multi-tasking abilities; exceptional customer service skills; attention to detail; and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with membership databases and shipping software. Experience with NetSuite and Net Forum is an asset.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in overseeing all outgoing mail, operating and maintaining the xerox machine, printers and mailing equipment. Primary responsibilities include :
- oversight of receipt and storage of bulk deliveries;
- shipping all convention and other off-site meetings materials for timely arrival; assisting staff at convention and trade show functions;
- managing online publications and maintaining an inventory of bookstore publications, overseeing production orders and mailings and managing warehouse operations;
- managing building maintenance, including negotiation of contracts for building services and lawn care, and maintaining contacts with building service providers.
The position reports to the Chantilly office five days per week. High school diploma required with additional education preferred, and a minimum of 5 years of administrative and / or data management experience. The candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs. Interested candidates should apply to
