SAS Admin role on immediate basis

Location: Whippany, NJ (Hybrid)

Job Description:

Technical:

• Hands-on experience on SAS EBI suite.
• Hands-on experience on working in Unix/Linux and Shell scripting.
• Responsible for Monitoring, reporting, and controlling SAS Server usage.
• Good debugging skills to identify issues in Data and at Infrastructure level.
• Can describe existing technology infrastructure across all major functions/departments and has a comprehensive grasp of emerging technologies.
• Has a competent understanding of safe and effective support practices

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

• Hands on experience in SAS BI on SAS 9.2, SAS 9.4 Grid platforms, including SAS Connect, SAS/Intranet Server, SAS OLAP Server, SAS Metadata Server, SAS Object Spawner.
• Knowledge on tuning the SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server Platform to optimize the Server Performance.
• Experience with databases like Oracle.
• Strong understanding of software languages, platforms, tools, ITIL framework and methodologies such as SDLC and agile.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in migrating SAS Enterprise Server to SAS Grid in Linux environment.
• Experience in Infrastructure analysis tools like Ganglia, App Dynamics.
• Ability to schedule and Monitor Jobs via Tivoli Work Scheduler, LSF.

• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion to line manager.
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
