Small Hands Big Dreams is a dynamic childcare center committed to providing a nurturing and safe environment for children to learn and grow. Our team works collaboratively to offer high-quality education and care that supports each child’s development. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Childcare Director to join our team Monday through Friday from 9:00a.m.-6:00p.m.
The Assistant Childcare Director supports the Director in the overall operation and administration of the childcare center. This position includes responsibilities related to staff supervision, child development programs, regulatory compliance, and ensuring a safe and enriching environment for children. Under the direction of the Center Director, the Assistant Director collaborates with staff to ensure that curriculum and classroom activities are properly delivered, and that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately.
Duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Record keeping and organization of files
- Reviewing and completing forms
- Answering phones
- Giving tours to potential families and staff
- Using various software systems
- Acting as a designee for staff when Center Director is out
- Managing others
- Understand and monitor the curriculum philosophy
- Communicating with parents, staff and children
- Creating and adjusting daily staff schedules
- Helping to support classrooms and teachers when necessary
- Order supplies while maintaining budget
- Maintaining systems; such as Fivestar, Googledocs, Kinderconnect, Procare/ Procare Desktop, PBJ, Paycom
Requirements
- Must have high school diploma
- Must hold a CPL-3
- Experience managing other adults
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
