Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Experienced Miner/Nipper located outside of Ketchikan, AK on Prince of Wales Island. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to underground mining operations, including mining activities both conventional and mechanized, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Per diem pay is provided as well as accommodations on and off site. Meals are provided at the on-site camp.
Qualifications
- Experience in underground mining operations
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in mining
- Physical stamina and ability to work in demanding environments
- Team player with good communication skills
- Experience operating mining equipment and tools
- Hazardous materials handling knowledge
- Willingness to work at a remote site and live at camp during work weeks
