Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will work with children to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. You will collaborate with educators and parents to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique needs. Your expertise in pediatrics and early intervention will be crucial in helping students achieve their communication goals.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in children.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create effective IEPs.
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students in various settings, including schools and acute care environments.
- Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate families on strategies to support their child's communication development at home.
- Stay current with best practices in speech therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and language development.
- Experience working with children, particularly in a school or pediatric setting.
- Familiarity with early intervention techniques for young children.
