Behavioral Specialist for Learning Center

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and experience working with children. This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans, utilizing applied behavior analysis techniques, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. The Behavioral Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and their families through effective behavior management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to understand the behavioral needs and develop tailored care plans.
• Implement behavior management strategies using applied behavior analysis techniques.
• Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with admin to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate families and caregivers on behavioral interventions and support strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Provide direct support to children in various settings, promoting positive behaviors and social skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with children, especially those with autism or other developmental disorders.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in data collection methods and analysis for tracking patient progress.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Passion for helping individuals improve their quality of life through effective behavioral interventions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
