Job Summary

The Behavioral Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and their families through effective behavior management strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to understand the behavioral needs and develop tailored care plans.
- Implement behavior management strategies using applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with admin to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educate families and caregivers on behavioral interventions and support strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Provide direct support to children in various settings, promoting positive behaviors and social skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or other developmental disorders.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in data collection methods and analysis for tracking patient progress.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
