Manager of Government Pricing

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Pricing Manager to develop and execute pricing strategies and proposals for defense and commercial contracts, ensuring competitiveness and profitability while remaining compliant with company policies and industry regulations. This role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects with minimal oversight, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial analysis, federal contract pricing strategies (including Firm Fixed Price, Labor Hour, and Cost-Plus Fixed Fee), and excellent communication skills.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Pricing Strategy & Analysis: Develop and implement pricing strategies and proposals tailored to Federal and Department of Defense contracts, maximizing profitability while ensuring competitiveness in the market. 

• Collaboration & Communication: Work with sales, marketing, finance, and product teams to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives and defense sector requirements. 

• Financial & Market Data Analysis: Analyze pricing data, trends, and cost structures to identify opportunities for price optimization and maintain pricing accuracy. 

• Client and Contract Management: Review client documentation and mine it for valuable insights, ensuring all submitted bids are compliant with internal policies and regulations. 

• Project Management: Manage multiple pricing projects independently with minimal oversight, effectively identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues that may arise. 

• Client Negotiations & Presentations: Support client negotiations, presentations, and internal governance processes related to pricing decisions. 

• Continuous Improvement: Contribute business improvement and efficiency ideas while staying up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices. 

• Reporting: Prepare and present pricing reports to the Chief Growth Officer and Director of Business Development, ensuring clear communication of pricing proposals and related decisions, and their impact on business objectives. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred). 

• 5 years of relevant experience in pricing analysis, proposal development, or a similar role, with a focus on defense contracts, integrated facilities industries, or outsourcing. 

• Proven expertise in pricing methodologies, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Labor Hour, and Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type federal contracts. 

• Knowledge of federal contractor cost accounting system requirements, including direct and indirect rate determination and rate build-up modeling. 

• Strong financial, analytical, and quantitative skills, with a data-driven approach to pricing decisions. 

• Defense, aerospace, and/or aviation operations industry experience is highly desirable.  

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with other Microsoft Office suite tools, and pricing software preferred. 

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively while prioritizing tasks. 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 

• Flexibility to work remotely, with some travel required (domestic and international based on business needs). 

Work Environment: 

• Will primarily work from a home office, in a remote virtual environment with occasional travel based on business demands.
