Job Summary :

We currently have an opening for a Plant Maintenance Supervisor in our Facilities department! This person supervises a wide range of administrative and support activities for the Facilities Department to facilitate the efficient operation of the department while also completing plant maintenance responsibilities.

Responsibilities :

Schedules the workload and assigns work to the Facilities team

Coordinates the maintenance, repair, installation, and cleaning needed inside and outside the facility

Must have proven knowledge of CMMS systems (Computer Maintenance Management Software)

Proven knowledge of building automation systems

Inspects and maintains building equipment and systems

Troubleshoots and makes repairs as needed

Supervises contracted workers or tradesmen as directed during repair or installation processes

Completes daily walk throughs, identifies any problems, and ensures all maintenance and cleaning is completed

Maintains all equipment and tracks inventory of supplies

Follows procedures for all cleaning supplies and ensures all are labeled and stored correctly

Ensures daily production goals are met

Inspects completed work as applicable

Assists the Department Manager as needed

Participates in cross departmental work production based on business needs

Learns and upholds defined quality standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and optimize work efficiency

Strives to achieve team and individual specified production targets

Provides complete and accurate documentation when required

Communicates clearly with teammates and supervisors regarding all aspects of the job

Reports problems that arise with machines, materials, jobs, or team members and offers solutions where possible within the scope of the duties of the job

Learn and follows Smalley requirements for employee safety, product quality and productivity

Adheres to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment including; appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), participation in mandatory safety training and reports any concerns immediately

Keeps workspace clean and organized to maximize safety and productivity by adhering to Smalley's 6S process

Participates in ongoing training, education meetings and daily communication meetings

Responsible for reviewing all applicable department policies and procedures

Maintains entire building - both inside and outside

Troubleshoots and makes repairs as needed

Maintains all equipment and tracks inventory of supplies

Assists the department Manager as needed

Qualifications

3-5 years proven experience working in a leadership role in Facilities

Experience ideally in a manufacturing or related environment with building systems including : commercial electrical, commercial plumbing and commercial HVAC

Authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Pass required exam of basic math and English
