Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals by ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Duties

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort of patients.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient files.

Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

• Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental practices.
• Experience with endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry procedures.
• Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
• Competence in medical imaging techniques for accurate diagnostics.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to assist effectively in various dental procedures while maintaining patient comfort.
