Job Summary
MUST HAVE DENTAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional patient service while managing administrative tasks. This role requires proficiency in handling phone systems, managing health information, and maintaining accurate documentation. Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft and eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to patient visits.
- Maintain patient records in accordance with health information management standards.
- Assist in coding procedures and managing care plans as needed.
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure a smooth workflow within the clinic.
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards in all communications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical or dental administration is a plus.
- Experience with dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft and eClinicalWorks.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and health information management practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage documentation and scheduling efficiently.
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
