Duties

- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety during outings and appointments.
- Observe and document patient behavior and progress, reporting any significant changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations including HIPAA guidelines.
- Support clients in engaging with their communities through recreational activities and social interactions.
- Uphold resident rights by promoting autonomy and encouraging self-advocacy among clients.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or during transfers.
- Provide first aid as needed while maintaining a calm demeanor in emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, or direct support roles is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of patient observation techniques and resident rights.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
