Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients, ensuring they meet medical and personal needs.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster professional development.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery and improve health outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and maintain accurate documentation related to patient care and MDS assessments.
- Manage staffing levels effectively to ensure optimal patient care while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Stay current with medical terminology and advancements in nursing practices to provide informed leadership.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Proven experience in nursing administration or a similar leadership role within home health or hospice settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and experience with care plans.
- Exceptional supervisory skills with a focus on team development and patient-centered care.
- Familiarity with Medicare requirements and MDS processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, patients, and families.
