Assistant Manager Job Description :
An Assistant Manager is responsible for leading a team and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, and a passion for driving sales while maintaining a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
Manage daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
Supervise and train staff, including conducting employee orientation and ongoing training sessions.
Coordinate shift management to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and growth.
Skills
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or equivalent restaurant management experience
Communication in English. Fundamental requirements include reading, writing, math, POS and MS Excel skills.
Strong leadership and coaching skills
Excellent shift management capabilities to ensure smooth store operations.
Supervising skills that promote team engagement and accountability.
Strong math skills for handling transactions, inventory counts, and financial reporting.
Strong communication skills
Self-motivated and action-oriented
Willing to admit when you make a mistake, take accountability and learn from it
Prompt attendance on assigned shifts- dependable and reliable
Must have reliable transportation
Must be available and willing to work a variety of shifts including weekend, evenings and holidays.
Must be available to work a minimum of 45 hours weekly.
Physical Requirements : Lift, move, carry and stack cartons up to 50 lbs from various heights and positions. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Frequent exposure to various temperatures in areas such as a cooler / freezer as well as back of house grill areas.
