Job purpose:
The Quality Control Inspector is involved in validating and controlling product quality and related documentation. They ensure that product quality meets the Smardt Quality Standard, required codes and customer requirements. They also provide leadership in quality issues.
Duties and responsibilities
- Conduct in-process inspection to verify product conformance via visual and measurement tests; communicate required adjustments to production supervisor
- Identify, record non-conformances and works cross-functionally with different teams until the deficiency or unsatisfactory conditions have been resolved
- Collect, inspect and maintains all quality records for accuracy
- Support receiving inspection of raw materials and final inspection of built products
- Maintain inspection/test equipment and ensures that is accurate and calibrated to stated procedures
- Assist in ISO audits (internal and registrar)
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a quality inspector in a related filed
- HVAC experience (preferred)
- Must be able to lift/push/pull materials up to 50 pounds
Education requirement:
- Post-secondary education or related experience.
