Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) to join our team for our after-school program. In this role, you will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, providing essential support through behavioral therapy and patient care. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by implementing therapeutic strategies and collecting data to track progress.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic evaluations and behavioral health assessments.
- Provide direct patient care, supporting clients in daily activities and promoting independence.
- Use behavioral therapy techniques to encourage positive behavior changes.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- Experience or training in patient care, behavioral therapy, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and behavioral health principles.
- Strong understanding of working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines regarding medical records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills for data collection and record-keeping.
