Job Overview
The Student Recruiter is responsible for the overall marketing and recruitment efforts for SMART Academy. Services may include new student recruitment, admissions/advising, community and business outreach, public information, program specific promotional events, and developing and implementing a marketing and recruitment plan. Incumbents in this classification will also work with our team in developing and implementing marketing and recruitment strategies. We are looking for an individual that is eager to meet new people, establish partnerships in our community, and loves talking about our school. Specifically, the Student Recruitment Coordinator will work out of our school site, and within the Cleveland and surrounding communities.
Duties
- Conduct outreach to interested families and organizations via phone, email, and in-person.
- Participate in a range of activities including door to door canvassing, phone call campaigns, recruitment events, and home visits to interested families.
- Develop relationships with key community partners including early childhood centers, pre-school programs, and community-based organizations serving students in the city of Cleveland with an eye to recruiting new families.
- Update and enter data and information from interested families.
- Flyer and canvass the community.
- Participate in evening and weekend meetings and events as needed.
- Tracks statistics, gathers data, and writes reports.
- Assumes a lead role for events and programs on campus, including coordinating the work of others involved in these programs.
- Perform other duties as designated by the Superintendent.
- School and Community Events:
- Preparing Flyers and other promotional materials needed
Office Duties
- Answering doors, greeting visitors, and assisting visitors with their questions and/or needs.
- Answer Telephones, take messages and/or, refer calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain Calendar and Plan Meetings, schedule appointments and update event calendars. Arrange meetings and coordinate conference room schedules. In advance of meetings, assemble background materials and set up the meeting space. Attend meetings and prepare minutes or summaries of the meeting outcomes as requested.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail. Open, review, sort and distribute the mail to the appropriate recipients. Maintain email lists, and distribute information to staff.
- Assisting children with minor needs which may include first aid.
- Create and organize events by scheduling dates, times, and venues.
Qualifications
- Outgoing, personable, and friendly.
- Strong command of customer service skills and willing to go the extra mile.
- Strong written and phone/verbal communication skills along with active listening.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Must have access to a personal vehicle to travel to our schools and community events.
- Must be fluent in speaking and writing English.
- Prior call center or a plus, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
