Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CAD/BIM Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD/BIM software. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural or electrical or civil or mechanical design principles and the ability to collaborate with engineers and project managers to bring concepts to life. The CAD Drafter will play a crucial role in ensuring that designs meet specifications and are ready for production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, , REVIT/ ARC GIS Pro, and MicroStation.
- Create schematics and layouts for mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and provide design support.
- Utilize Sketchup, Visio, and NavisWorks for visualization and coordination of design elements.
- Assist in the development of architectural, civil, electrical, and mechanical designs, ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
- Revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients to meet project objectives.
- Maintain organized documentation of all drawings and revisions for future reference.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MicroStation, REVIT and Sketchup.
- Experience with NavisWorks for project visualization and coordination.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and the ability to create accurate schematics.
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D animation techniques is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
