Position Overview:

The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Interviews, hires, and trains new staff for the Finance department.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of their team making sure everyone is contributing appropriately, distributing the workload evenly while ensuring motivation and performance levels are maintained.
- Lead by setting a good example (role model) - behavior consistent with words. Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
- Professional Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and career growth
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations for the different finance teams.
- Succession Planning: Develop and implement succession plans to ensure continuity in key roles within the finance team.
- Handles all procedural/HR related items and timesheets for finance team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
- Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes and external regulations.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Financial Analysis: Provide in-depth financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in the technology or UCaaS industry
- Knowledge of subscription-based revenue models
- Strong knowledge of financial systems and financial modeling.
- ERP Implementation experience
- Familiarity with financial standards (GAAP).
- Familiarity with financial compliance requirements for SaaS companies
Skills:
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analytics tools.

- Change Management: Experience in leading and managing change within the finance department.
