Position Overview:

You will be a major contributor to the small and midmarket overall growth strategy. You will come in ready to learn, keen to generate results and excited to be part of a team responsible for driving revenue growth by introducing, building, growing new and existing client relationships at small to medium sized investor-owned and municipal utilities. Your responsibilities will include performance against campaign metrics, including opportunity origination, direct selling and partner opportunities.


The role requires a strong focus on prospecting, face-to-face selling, new business / client development in addition to up-selling and cross-selling to existing clients and securing contract renewals. This will be achieved through lead qualification, opportunity planning, understanding client's business & objectives, educating clients on our portfolio of solutions, identifying ways we can assist clients in meeting their business needs, prioritizing activities, and closing revenue opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, cultivate and grow base of new and existing clients
  • Maximize revenue and profitability potential by up-selling new opportunities, raising awareness of our broader portfolio of solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Participate in campaigns, trade shows, customer conferences, sales meetings and other opportunities for client interaction
  • Build your technical understanding of our solutions in the context of the utility market technology landscape. Maintain thorough understanding of our solutions and tailor calls and presentations to meet the needs of different types of clients
  • Build and maintain a visible pipeline of business activity and regularly update the Company on the progression of those efforts via sales meetings and tracking of activity in Salesforce CRM
  • Champion change to remain aligned with our vision, goals, the industry, market and client needs
  • Contribute to the engagement, growth, development and positive experience of all sales team members


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related field.
  • Energetic and gregarious attitude with a willingness to own problems and discover solutions.
  • Team sales background includes managing campaign metrics, celebrating wins and performance-based environment.
  • Min 2 years of sales experience in a fast-based, campaign style organization. Experience with
  • SaaS Cloud software or platform, municipal or government customers, utility experience is an asset Start-up experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell across the organization, from C-level to operational personnel
  • Highly evolved presentation and negotiation skills
  • Motivated to grow in an entrepreneurial, rapidly growing company environment
