Job Overview
As a key member of the Smart Foodservice Stores LLC team, you will play a vital role in driving store performance and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibility will be to create and maintain a superior service culture within the store, while managing financial performance, including monthly P&L management and budgeting.
Responsibilities
• Provide a store culture that focuses on both initiating and supporting outside sales calls, as well as creating a strong, superior service culture within the store.
• Manage the monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and assist in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) budgeting process;
• Implement and supervise strict controls regarding inventory standard operating procedures (SOPs), cash, checks, credit, and other critical aspects of the business;
• Ensure that all staff complies with company policies, procedures, and store SOPs;
• Monitor the auto replenishment function of the Point of Sale (POS) to ensure timely product delivery;
• Determine marketing strategy and devise marketing plans to improve sales;
• Work closely with the HR department to recruit, interview, select, hire, orient, train, develop, and retain staff members;
• Conduct employee evaluations, including follow-through on recommendations, training, and disciplinary actions;
• Supervise and provide day-to-day direction to store management and floor staff, including scheduling and outlining store goals and sales targets;
• Implement training programs to increase employee knowledge base and productivity;
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required;
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a retail work environment, with at least three (3) years of management/supervisory experience;
• Strong planning and organizational skills;
• Ability to think critically and make good business decisions;
• Excellent leadership and communication skills;
• Adaptability and willingness to assist in accomplishing job tasks;
• Proficiency with computer applications and Microsoft programs;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, holidays, and weekends.
