Required Experience & Skills

• Preferred to have CCIE Lab Certified

• Products: Cisco Routers, WAAS, Nexus 7k,9K,5k, Cisco Switches, Cisco 65xx, 45xx, 37xx,ACE, WLC, WCS, LWAPPs
• WAN: IP Routing, Frame Relay, ATM, Multi Layer Switching, ACL’s, NAT, T1/E1, DS3/OC3
• Routing: Cisco 4000 / 4500 / 6500 / 7200 routers, Protocols include RIP, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MBGP, EIGRP, MPLS, VRF, L3 VPN’s,MP-BGP EVPN, IPSec, VPNs, ACL’s, NAT, CoS
• LAN/Switching: Cisco Catalyst 3500 / 3550 / 3700 / 3900 / 4000 / 6500 series switches, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.1q, ISL, Ether Channel, Multicast, SNMP, VSS, VTP, STP, RSTP, HSRP/VRRP, vDC, vPC, VRF, FCoE, DHCP, Traffic Shaping, Voice over IP, Video / Voice QoS (CBWFQ, LLQ)
• Wireless: 802.1x, WPA/WPA2 and WEP with TKIP / AES
• Load Balancing - Netscalers, F5 and Cisco
• NMS / Analysis: Cisco works 5.0 / 2000, What’s up Gold, Sniffer Pro 4.5 / 4.6, Sniffer Reporter
• Sound major vendor technologies & architectures (LAN/WAN/Wireless/Security/Unified Comms/Data Centre) and products knowledge essential
• Experience in implementing solutions via controlled change control governance procedures
• Comprehensive understanding of major data networking technologies and concepts
• Participate as ultimate escalation point for vendor/product & customer technical faults

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Data Network Design, Build and Deployment
• Build, configure and deliver network integration solution
• Producing 'as build' network project documentation
• Transition all installed project handover to Operational Support
• Attending internal and external project kick off meetings
• Working with Presales and/or Design Consultant on the high-level design approval
• Understand and deliver detailed customer requirements
• Comprehensive understanding of major data networking technologies and concepts
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of all major vendors products
• Continually develop, maintain, and apply expert technical knowledge and skills within vendor product and technology markets identified and defined by business and vendor portfolio
• To lead the project implementation phase and be responsible for delivery of projects on time and on budget.
• Network strategy and consultancy services.
• Assessment and providing Recommendation reports
• Provide network design services which meet and exceed the needs of customer
• Propose and Validate BoM for Network Infrastructure solutions.
• Preparing Scope of Work and Project Plans for the Solution.
• Preparing High Level & Low-Level designs as per proposed Solution.
• Design and Implementation of Routing and Switching technologies.
• Design and implementation of Data Centers.
• Wireless LAN design, Implementation and Troubleshooting.
• Design and Implementation of Advanced Technologies (WAN Optimization).
• Always Maintaining the network’s integrity
• Troubleshooting and repairing network issues, as well as developing, applying and enforcing best practices and policies
• Monitoring and performing routine tests on an assigned system and reporting results.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvements
• Contributing and producing regular status reports as required
• Working with 3rd party hardware and Telco suppliers to ensure delivery expectations are met and issues escalated accordingly
• Escalating overall known delivery issues in timely and structured manner as required
• Providing day to day hands on technical support across multiple services
• Working as part of a project in a demanding environment where teamwork is key to delivering and meeting client commitments
• Complete varied complex/non-standard tasks and may coordinate/oversee work of others
• Understand customer requirements, translating them into refined and detailed specification documents
• Provide resolution to project or customer issues, following proper escalation procedures, in a timely fashion
• Create project documentation and procedures
• Closely work with Project Managers and customer technical authority and ensure smooth delivery of project deliverables.
