Nuclear Medicine Technician

Pay Rate : $65 to $100 / hour (depends upon interview)

Location : Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ, 07960, US

Days per week : 5

  • Shift Hours : Shift : The hours after training would be 11-am-7pm
  • Tuesday through Friday and 8am-4pm on Saturday
  • On call or weekends required? Saturday
  • Tuesday to Friday : 11 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM
  • Saturday : 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM
  • On-Call Requirement : None
  • Weekend Requirement : Saturday

  • Job Responsibilities : Prepare patients for nuclear medicine examinations, including explaining procedures and positioning them for optimal imaging.
  • Perform radiopharmaceutical preparation and administer radiopharmaceuticals as required.
  • Monitor patients' physical condition throughout the procedure, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and perform scanning setup to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Document procedures accurately and maintain compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.

    • Required Skills and Certifications :

  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine : Either ARRT NM or CNNMT .
  • New Jersey State License for Nuclear Medicine.
  • CPR Certification (current).
  • Experience in General Nuclear Medicine procedures, including but not limited to :
  • Bone scans
  • Hepatobiliary scans
  • Lung scans
  • Thyroid scans

    • Educational Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine, OR
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology and Nuclear Medicine Program.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Hands-on experience in General Nuclear Medicine procedures.
  • Strong patient care and communication skills.
