Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with 16 to 20 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cisco Meraki (Wired & Wireless), Cisco Internet Security, Cisco Firepower Threat Defence, Cisco Firewall, Fortinet FortiGate, Fortinet SDWAN, Cisco SD WAN, Core Network (Wireless), Core Network, and 3-GIS Network Design. This role requires working from the office during day shifts, with no travel required.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for network architecture and design for the enterprise.
• Plan, develop, and implement network architecture for all network technologies including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, data center LAN, SD WAN networks, telephony, mobile solutions infrastructure, unified communications, network management solutions, cloud network, and network-specific security and remote access technologies.
• Lead and support all project implementation related to network technologies.
• Actively input into governance forums that determine IT strategy.
• Apply standards and best practices from other architecture teams and design authorities to the network architecture team.
• Act as a subject matter expert for associated network architects and administrators.
• Analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions to ensure network capacity meets increasing demands.
• Champion new network technologies and solutions.
• Coach and mentor associated network architects and network administrators where appropriate.
• Document all work using required standards, methods, and tools, including network design and prototyping (HLD/LLD) where appropriate.
• Contribute to business continuity planning and strategy.
• Stay updated on the latest network technologies and advancements to optimize network performance and recommendations.
Qualifications:
• 10 years in these networking technologies:
○ SD-WAN, Fortinet, Cisco, WAN, LAN, wireless technologies, BGP, IPSEC, Datacenter networking Cisco ACI, NX-OS, Spine/Leaf, Remote Branch offices, network security (DDOS, IDS/IPS, WAF)
• 10 years network management & troubleshooting
• 10 years architecting, designing, implementing and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
• 5 years Cloud networking and security
• Experience with requirement gathering, HLDs, LLDs, writing is required
• Strong written and verbal communication
