Smart Kids CDC is looking for a Program Coordinator!
Our team is responsible for the learning objectives of children and the creation and management of a variety of learning environments and activities that will provide opportunities for children to develop to their fullest potential.
Administrative duties:
- Promote and incorporate Smart Kids’ mission and vision in all duties and in the community.
- Model and promote professionalism, teamwork, and collaboration among Smart Kids’ staff.
- Support the accuracy of child files, accident and illness reports, and other records required by Smart Kids’ State, and Federal laws.
- Support and secure proprietary and confidential information about children, families, staff, and Smart Kids.
- Support and update all family information Smart Kids’ database.
- Maintain parent information board accurate monthly rosters reflecting enrollment, changes in schedule, and withdrawals.
- Maintain regular verbal and written communication with families. This includes updating website content, newsletters, center notices, emails, text messages.
- Maintain and direct the physical, curriculum, performance environment.
- Ensure classroom compliance is maintained.
- Purchase program supplies and food items under the direction of the director.
- Promote and organize family events in collaboration with the director or assistant director and other center staff.
- Support classrooms that are experiencing hardship.
- Perform administrative duties such as answering the center phone, collecting payments, accepting and/or providing families with requested forms, etc.
- Perform additional job-related duties, special projects, and tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or Smart Kids management. These duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and education requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must obtain an associate degree in a related field.
- One or more years of experience working with children at the appropriate age level.
- Licensed childcare knowledge and experience preferred.
- TB test (prior to start date).
- Cleared background check (prior to start date)
- First Aid and child/adult CPR certification (within 60 days of hire).
- Complete Smart Kids’ and State orientation.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Requires professional and psychological maturity, a servant-leader disposition, and a commitment to the principles of high-quality childcare and education.
- Must have strong organizational skills and high motivation.
- Must have ability to relate well to parents, children, and staff.
- Must have flexibility in order to meet daily challenges of working in a childcare environment and to be available during varied work hours as needed.
- Must possess significant experience in childcare, with knowledge of both child development and the use of developmental curriculum.
