Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking IT person to lead our IT department and spearhead the modernization of our legacy systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in converting Classic ASP applications to ASP.NET, coupled with a strong foundation in full stack development. This leadership role requires strategic thinking, technical expertise, and the ability to manage helpdesk team to support hardware and software issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Supervise and mentor the IT team, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
- Oversee daily operations of the IT department, including infrastructure, support, and development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define IT strategies, timelines, and roadmaps.
- Ensure the proper flow of information throughout the various functions of the company s workflow.
- Communicate IT needs to leadership, and communicate leadership needs to IT in a clear and concise way.
- System Modernization:
- Lead the technical planning and execution of migrating multiple legacy Classic ASP systems to modern ASP.NET platforms.
- Assess existing systems and develop a phased migration strategy ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Ensure codebase modernization complies with security, scalability, and performance standards.
- Full Stack Oversight:
- Provide architectural guidance across the full technology stack (frontend, backend, database).
- Participate in coding, peer reviews, and system design when needed.
- Leverage modern frameworks and technologies such as .NET Core, JavaScript , SQL Server, and possibly REST APIs.
- Project & Budget Management:
- Manage IT budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
- Oversee vendor relationships, procurement, and licensing agreements.
- Support & Maintenance:
- Ensure robust IT support for internal users and mission-critical applications.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, data privacy, and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master s degree a plus).
- 5 years of experience in IT management or technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience migrating applications from Classic ASP to ASP.NET.
- Deep knowledge of .NET Framework / .NET Core, SQL Server, and front-end frameworks like HTML and AJAX.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business language and vice versa.
Salary : $150,000
