Construction Safety Manager Qualifications
2 years experience in safety and health program management.
2 years experience in construction safety.
Knowledge of OSHA, local safety laws, and other regulatory agencies.
Sound/ethical judgment, strong leadership skills, and ability to work independently.
Proficient in MS Office.
CPR/First Aid Certified.
Experience working with commercial or civil construction projects, This job will last about 6 -8 months.
Person must be Bi-liungual Spanish
Summary
As a Site Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations on commercial construction sites. Reporting to the Project Manager, your role is vital in promoting a safe work environment through effective leadership and risk management. Your core skills in construction management and EHS will be essential in implementing safety training and emergency response plans. Additionally, your certifications in First Aid and CPR, along with your proficiency in construction management software, will help you maintain high safety standards and reduce workplace incidents.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and enforce safety protocols on construction sites to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Manage and implement EHS programs, ensuring all personnel are trained in First Aid and CPR.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into construction management practices.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and compliance documentation.
- Lead safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety among team members.
