We are a fully integrated frac sand supply and services company, offering complete mine to wellsite proppant logistics, storage, and management solutions to our customers. We produce low-cost, high-quality Northern White frac sand and offer proppant logistics, storage and management solutions to our customers through our in-basin transloading terminal and our SmartSystems wellsite proppant storage capabilities. We provide our products and services primarily to oil and natural gas exploration and production companies and oilfield service companies. We own and operate premium frac sand mines and related processing facilities in Wisconsin and Illinois, which have access to three Class I rail lines, allowing us to deliver products substantially anywhere in the United States and Canada.
We are currently looking for Equipment Operators to join our Last Mile Solutions team!
The Equipment Operator operated equipment and unload sand trucks. The position will be under the supervision of the Regional Field Service manager; but will require taking direction from other Smart Sand Managers and team leads. This position is based out of El Reno, Oklahoma. The working schedule is 20 days on, 10 days off.
Essential Job Duties
- Unloading sand truck into unloading drive over conveyor.
- Operates sand unloading or power equipment, such as telehandler and skid steers.
- Uses hand-held mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources.
- Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor.
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Demonstrates constant commitment to safety, professional behavior, and environmental considerations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record Check (MVR).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Good judgment is required.
- Must be adaptable and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- 12 hour shift
- Punctual Equipment Readiness: Responsible for ensuring that all equipment is prepared and ready for pumping operations on schedule.
- Thorough Pre-Startup Checks: Conducts comprehensive checks of all fluids and visually inspects equipment before start-up to guarantee optimal functionality.
- Safe and Efficient Rig-Up: Demonstrates the ability to rig-up all equipment in a safe and timely manner, emphasizing both efficiency and safety.
- Effective Communication: Maintains open communication with the supervisor throughout all stages of the job, promptly reporting any issues and ensuring a cohesive workflow.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Actively runs equipment, focusing major responsibilities on equipment operation, performs basic preventative maintenance, and communicates equipment issues to the supervisor.
- Additionally, assists in mentoring other equipment operators in operations.
- LOTO Compliance Adheres to proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Post-Operation Site Walkthrough: Conducts a comprehensive site walkthrough after operations, inspecting all equipment to ensure proper shutdown and adherence to safety protocols.
- Housekeeping and Other Duties: Assists in housekeeping activities before leaving the location and remains flexible to perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements
