We have positions all throughout POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA.

Positions open immediately. 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday for our Preschool in Winter Haven, Florida 33884

YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK MONDAY THRU FRIDAY. The hours will be full-time sometime between 8:00am and 5:00pm.

Compensation: Range is from $14.00 - $20.00 per hour. Rate of pay is dependent on level of experience and credentials and will be discussed at time of interview.

We are looking for energetic, creative, responsible professionals who love working with children.

*Must be DEDICATED and DEPENDABLE and able to communicate easily with children and parents and must have a passion to want to care and teach children.
*You MUST be able to be at work EVERY DAY Monday-Friday.
*Must be 18 years of age or older.
*Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
*Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED or higher.
*A PLUS IF YOU HAVE YOUR CDA OR FCCPC OR DIRECTOR'S CREDENTIAL, OR TEACHING DEGREE FOR THE WINTER HAVEN POSITION

If you are hired, you must already have OR we can schedule you to get your LEVEL 2 FINGERPRINTING AND BACKGROUND SCREENING CLEARANCE through FDLE/FBI/DCF. If hired, we will setup and pre-pay for your appointment for fingerprinting. The cost for background screening is approximately $70.00. If you are hired, we MUST have your clearance BEFORE you will be able to start working. WE pre-pay the full $70.00 cost of your fingerprinting once hired, and you'll sign an agreement to reimburse our company approximately $37 from your first paycheck.

Duties include, but are not limited to, carrying out lesson plans, and responsible for daily setup and cleanup of toys, materials, and play equipment, as well as providing a safe, loving, and learning atmosphere for the children.

We are a Florida State licensed facility, therefore, you are required to already have completed or be willing to complete your State required child care course hours (or opt out of taking courses and pass exams.) within 90 days if you are hired. A Director's or CDA/FCCPC Credential is necessary for the Winter Haven position.

Note: If you are hired and you do not already have your 45 Hour DCF and Florida State REQUIRED child care hours, which should include the 10 hours School-Age and Special Needs D.A.P. courses mentioned above, you will be required to complete all of the hours and get your certifications within 90 days of employment at your own time and expense. However, we DO offer the books to study if you choose to not take the course hours and just take the exams. You MUST pass the exams to receive your certifications. Again, all training courses, certification hours, and exams are at your own time and expense, but must be completed within 90 days of employment.

We also assist with many in-house In-Service Training Hours opportunities.

(Please scroll down to see the list of child care courses that will be required within 90 days of employment) NOTE: You may opt out of taking the course and just take the exam if you feel comfortable doing so. Some courses (see list below) are available online for about $10.00 per course. If you would like to take the courses before taking the exams for each, you can take the course/s online or at Polk State College in Lakeland and Winter Haven, FL. The exams must be scheduled and taken in person at Polk State College. Each exam will take approximately 15-30 minutes.

Child Growth & Development (6 course hours) Exam is $6.00--Course is available online for $10.00
Behavioral Observation & Screening (6 course hours) Exam $6.00--Course is available online for $10.00

PART II--INTRODUCTION TO CHILD CARE
School-Age Appropriate Practices(SAPR) (5 course hours) Exam is $5.00--Course is available online for $10.00
Understanding Developmentally Appropriate Practices(UDAP) (5 course hours) Exam is $5.00--Course is available online for $10.00
Special Needs Appropriate Practices(10 course hours) Exam is $10.00--Course is available online for $10.00

PART III--CHILD CARE TRAINING
Early Literacy and Language Development (5 course hours) Course is available online for $10.00

We also require every employee be trained in First-Aid and CPR. Within 30 days of employment you are required to be certified in both CPR and First-Aid. We do offer the courses individually for $20 per course or both courses for $35.00.
