Position Description :
The Assistant Laboratory Specialist will support the management and staff in maintaining the efficient operation of the laboratories, Reference Standards and Material related activities. Some of the activities will be in the laboratories supporting the other scientists in activities such as RS testing and support for the operation of the laboratory. He / she will also work with various scientists to support the Reference Standard release, tracking and trending of different workstreams.
Basic Qualifications :
High School Diploma with 3-4 years' work experience in a professional environment or BS with 1 year of work experience.
Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to prioritize work assignments. Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Summary of duties :
The Assistant Laboratory Specialist will actively support the scientists and laboratory management in maintaining the efficient operation of the laboratories, Reference Standards and Material related activities by :
- Interacting with laboratory staff, and / or laboratory management, and / or other departments (CLO, QA) to support the day-to-day operation of the laboratories.
- Data analysis, help in compiling analytical data, prepare, track and trend the data of RS and Materials at various stages of the project pipeline and presenting the summaries.
- Provide analytical testing support to laboratories using routinely used laboratory equipment.
- Collaborating with client employees on process improvements in the departments.
- Some of the activities will be in the laboratories supporting the Scientists in different activities such as RS testing and support for the operation of the laboratory.
