What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analytical Chemist position at Smart4Chemicals?
An integral part of the R&D team and their initiative to bring brand-new chemical additives to market for a World leader in their field, the Analytical Chemist will be responsible for developing from scratch analytical methods for brand new molecules. Therefore this role is for a genuine subject matter expert, with a track record in organic structural elucidation, and knowledge of applying this to a suite of chromatographic and physical chemical analyses. Your day to day duties as an Analytical Chemist will be:
- Supporting new specialty chemical products to market via analytical method development
- Maintenance and calibration of high-spec analytical kit (LC-MS, GC-MS, FT-IR, Raman, DSC)
- Generating relevant data to inform synthetic chemistry processes
- Collaborate with external and internal partners to establish any capital expense proposals
You will be an ideal candidate with this background:
- Some exposure, preferably within industry, to analytical method development
- A doctoral degree, or equivalent, in a relevant chemistry field
- The desire to be seen as a high-level technical expert
- A good team-working approach and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior presentations at conferences
