An integral part of the R&D team and their initiative to bring brand-new chemical additives to market for a World leader in their field, the Lead Process Engineer will be responsible for assisting the movement of new organic chemicals from lab-scales to plant scales, scoping out the process . The role is for a genuine subject matter expert, who is keen to be visible internally and externally as such. Your day to day duties as a Lead Process Engineer will be:
- Supporting new specialty chemical products to market via design of process
- Modelling processes to enable seamless transfer from lab to plant
- Generating relevant data via the lab-based team members to design the process
- Collaborate with external and internal partners to establish costings, time scales and any capital expense proposals
You will be an ideal candidate with this background:
- A proven track record as process engineer in small molecule additives
- A higher degree, or equivalent, in a relevant engineering or chemistry field
- The desire to be seen as a high-level technical expert
- A good team-working approach and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior presentations at industry body events and conferences
