Account Executive - Austin TX
As an Account Executive you’ll be a frontline team member representing the SmartBiz brand by building rapport and trust with a diverse customer & partner base through phone and email communication.
With 1-2 years of experience, you already possess exceptional listening and communication skills because it is critical that you quickly understand your clients' financing needs. You are ultimately responsible for educating them on the financial products and services available for their specific business and situation.
You will be joining a growing team, some who have been on the team for 4 years and others who are in their first year. After two weeks of training you will be managing a multi-million dollar portfolio of small business clients.

Account Executive - Austin TX

How you’ll make an impact:
- Build rapport and trust with a diverse customer base resulting in new and repeat (renewal) business
- Educate borrowers on the various benefits of obtaining funding through SmartBiz Bank vs our competitors
- Be extremely well versed on our products and sales processes, including the intricacies of the lending process
- Gather, review, evaluate, and verify financial documents, such as business and personal tax returns, income statements, balance sheets, bank statements, and credit reports, etc.
- Achieve and exceed monthly offers generated and origination goals
- Identify opportunities for cross sell from our suite of banking products to your existing book of business
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of professional customer-facing experience in technology sales, fintech, finance, lending, or similar
- We have seen successful Account Executives develop from Associate Account Executives, Sales Development Representatives and Loan Officers
- Strong communication, analytical, and listening skills, with a positive and energetic phone presence
- Independent thinker with proven ability to analyze data, make recommendations, and route customers to the right solutions
- A passion for becoming an authority in your field
- High level of intrinsic motivation, organization, and personal responsibility
- SBA experience is a plus, but not required
- Prior Banking experience if a plus, but not required
- Experienced with CRM software, preferably Salesforce
