smartdept. is searching for a Junior Production Artist for a candy retailer client located in Fort Lauderdale, FL . The ideal candidate will come with 2 years of experience. This is a part-time, onsite (3x's a week- Tues., Wed., Thurs.) contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension . Compensation for this position is expected to be $18-20 / hour depending on experience level and fit.
What You’ll Do :
- Handle artwork adaptation, mechanical production, photo retouching / manipulation, and pre-press tasks
- Assist Director of Merchandising with setting up product in the corporate office
- Ensure integrity of design intent throughout the production process
- Create brand guides and lay out digital representations of products
- Photo retouching, image manipulation, and product renders
- Obtain, understand, and implement print / production specifications for each job
- Build final files for internal review and release to vendors
- Verify accuracy of copy and regulated package elements
- Organize and maintain production files and master art as needed
