Pay: $58.65/hour
Projected Duration: 12 - month Contract Position
Smarter HR Solutions is currently seeking applicants for a contract Senior Business Analyst role with our IT client. The ideal candidate will play a role in the development of multiple parts of the business by analyzing past, current, and future business trends. This individual will establish strategies to achieve desired outcomes and implement these strategies. They will often work cross-functionally with internal business units in order to understand the challenges that these teams face and provide solutions to these groups.
Scope of Work
• Gather and analyze diverse sets of data from multiple sources and stakeholders.
Examples:
- Review Board material and identify motions relevant to the department.
- Review Audit reports and extract action plans.
• Organize and maintain compliance data in applicable trackers/databases.
• Periodically re-check sources for compliance-related updates.
• Schedule and conduct periodic check-ins with stakeholders for compliance-related updates.
• Assist with dashboard generation and maintenance.
• Gather and analyze information about key departmental business processes, their owners, interactions, inputs, and outputs.
• Organize, map, and visualize the processes published for departmental use.
• Provide thought leadership to the Business Compliance Team to help drive process improvement and increase compliance maturity.
Position requires senior level business analysis skills, ITIL understanding and ability to pivot to various projects as assigned.
Requirements
Role and Responsibilities REQUIRED:
- Create and update business and functional requirement documents to support various implementation efforts
- Create and update business workflow processes to support all applicable business operations.
- Support the project team (DEV/QA/PM) in business analysis activities (Requirements elicitation, grooming, work item prioritization, document review, work item creation, user acceptance testing, maintenance support, and other appropriate business-related activities as assigned.
- Support enhancements and the department's project deliverables at 100%.
- Meet and project Scheduled Milestones and Deliverables.
- Track completed sprints every 2-3 weeks.
- Utilize metrics to measure the performance.
- Schedule Variance Customer Satisfaction Productivity Monitoring.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5 years’ experience in a business analyst role in an IT organization.
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Extensive experience eliciting, extracting, dissecting, and organizing data from both known and unknown subject areas.
- Solid documenter with attention to detail.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Office products, inclusive but not limited to O365 platform, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Intermediate or above proficiency with MS Visio or a similar tool.
Desired:
- Business Analyst Certification, for example, CAP, CBAP, CBDA, CFLBA, PBA, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a Compliance role.
Bonus:
- Experience with Quickbase, PowerBI, or Snowflake is a plus.
