Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems including cabling, fire alarms, CCTV, and computer networking. This role requires a strong understanding of schematics and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. The Low Voltage Technician will also assist in providing remote access solutions for clients.
Duties
- Install and maintain low voltage systems including cabling, fire alarms, and CCTV.
- Utilize remote access software to troubleshoot and resolve client issues.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure proper installation and functionality of systems.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations and repairs.
- Document all work performed, including any changes made to the system configurations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in low voltage installations or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of computer networking principles is essential.
- Familiarity with cabling techniques and standards is required.
- Certification in low voltage systems or related fields is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- MUST HOLD NC STATE LOW VOLTAGE License
