SmarterHome.ai, a Master Distributor of top-tier services in cable, internet, phone, wireless products, and home security, is immediately hiring a detail oriented and proactive Regional Retail Sales Representative to expand and manage our retail network in Los Angeles, CA. As the Regional Retail Sales Representative for SmarterHome.ai you will play a critical role in signing up new retail partners, training and onboarding them, and ensuring ongoing productivity for retailers selling Smarterhome.AI products and services. The successful candidate will focus on growing the network of Spectrum Authorized and Premier Retailers as well as retailers offering services from AT&T, Frontier, Optimum, and home security providers.

Key Responsibilities:
Retailer Acquisition:
Hunt for, Identify and recruit prospective retail partners within the assigned territory.
Present the benefits of Smarterhome.AI’s portfolio, including Spectrum Premier Retailer opportunities.
Negotiate and finalize retailer agreements, ensuring compliance with program requirements.
Onboarding and Training:
Oversee the onboarding process, including setting up retail locations for success.
Provide in-person and virtual training on Smarterhome.AI services, sales strategies, and tools.
Ensure retail partners understand commission structures, promotional offers, and incentive programs.
Account Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned retailers, addressing their needs and resolving issues promptly.
Service and upsell existing retailers, consistently increasing productivity on each assigned account
Monitor and analyze retailer sales performance, providing actionable feedback to improve productivity.
Conduct regular site visits to maintain relationships and reinforce training.
Field Operations:
Manage the installation of kiosks and other retail fixtures for Premier locations.
Ensure merchandising and marketing collateral is displayed in accordance with guidelines.
Collaborate with the logistics team to manage inventory, promotional materials, and device shipments.
Sales Strategy and Reporting:
Develop and execute a territory sales plan to meet monthly sign-up and productivity targets.
Provide weekly and monthly reports on retailer performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Contribute to regional and company-wide sales strategy sessions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Number of new retailers signed per month.
Onboarding time and time-to-productivity for new retailers.
Marketing Penetration
Productivity of existing retailers (units sold/month).
Retention rate of retail partners.
Percentage of active locations achieving sales targets.
Expansion of Premier Retail locations.
Reporting Requirements
Weekly Operational Reports: Provide updates on the status of retailer onboarding, logistics activities, and Vonage system configurations.
Weekly & Monthly KPI Reports: Summarize key performance indicators, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
Commission Structure Reports: Review and report on the performance and alignment of commission rate plans with overall business objectives.
Process Improvement Reports: Document process improvements made, their implementation status, and the impact on operational efficiency.
Team Performance Reports: Evaluate the performance of the Operations Specialist(s), including feedback, training needs, and development progress.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in field sales, retail sales, or business development, preferably in telecom, home services, or related industries.
Strong understanding of retail operations and account management.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently, manage a territory, and meet sales goals.
Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce) and reporting systems.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region (50% travel time required in local markets with occasional travel required nationwide)

1. Daily Reports
Retail Visits:
List of retailers visited, purpose of visit, and key outcomes.
Photos of kiosk installations, marketing displays, or merchandising updates (if applicable).
New Leads/Prospects:
Number of new retail prospects identified and contacted.
Details of outreach efforts (calls, emails, in-person visits) and responses.
Sales Metrics:
Daily unit sales per retailer, categorized by provider (e.g., Spectrum, AT&T, Frontier, etc.).
Any gaps or challenges observed in retailer productivity.
Challenges and Opportunities:
Summary of issues faced by retailers and proposed solutions.
Market insights, including competitor activity and potential growth opportunities.
2. Weekly Reports
Retailer Status Summary:
Overview of active, onboarded, and prospect retailers, categorized by status.
Summary of onboarding progress for new retailers.
Performance Metrics:
Weekly sales data for each retailer, segmented by product (internet, TV, home warranty, etc.).
Productivity trends and comparisons to targets.
KPI Tracking:
Progress against key metrics (e.g., number of new retailers signed, units sold per retailer).
Incentive Tracking:
Retailers participating in incentive programs, progress toward meeting incentive thresholds, and feedback on program effectiveness.
3. Monthly Reports
Territory Performance Review:
Comprehensive analysis of territory performance, highlighting top-performing and underperforming retailers.
Insights into trends affecting retailer productivity and recommendations for improvement.
Program Success:
Summary of Spectrum Premier and other retailer programs (e.g., retailer upgrades, kiosk installations, training effectiveness).
Pipeline Updates:
List of prospective retailers in the pipeline with projected onboarding dates.
Forecast for upcoming sales and expansions.
Strategic Recommendations:
Suggestions for territory growth, process improvements, and additional support needed for retailers.
4. Ad Hoc Reporting
Special Requests:
Provide updates on specific initiatives, such as promotions, new product launches, or urgent issues with retailers.
Participate in quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with the Regional Manager or leadership team.
Market Feedback:
Real-time reporting of any significant developments in the territory, such as competitor activities, regulatory changes, or new business opportunities.
Reporting Tools:
Use of CRM software (e.g., Zoho CRM) to log retailer details, sales activities, and performance metrics.
Submission of daily and weekly updates via shared reporting templates or dashboards.
Collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager to refine reporting methods and ensure accuracy.
