Healthy and Organic Food, Beverage, Flavors and Ingredients manufacturer is searching for a talented Supply Chain Manager to join their growing team.
Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving, production planning and scheduling, and inventory management/warehouse operations. This role plays a critical part in optimizing supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and drive customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of implementing best practices and process improvements across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Implement planning and scheduling software to streamline operations, reduce manual efforts, and optimize inventory management.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to planning and scheduling, ensuring optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
- Lead and develop the Master Planner and Scheduler.
- Manage planning and scheduling fundamentals across multiple locations.
Inventory Management & Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Monitor inventory trends, manage stock replenishment, and implement tracking systems/software for supply chain visibility across multiple sites.
- Analyze sales data and forecast future inventory needs to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and execute cost reduction strategies while improving inventory accuracy.
- Optimize warehouse layouts and inventory control procedures in collaboration with internal teams.
- Lead annual physical inventory counts for audit purposes.
- Coach and develop the Operations Specialist.
- Share best practices with the Branchburg warehouse team.
Shipping & Receiving:
- Manage logistics operations and develop strong relationships with key transportation partners.
- Support contract negotiations with transportation providers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and air/land shipping regulations.
- Develop cost-saving strategies for shipping and route optimization across locations.
- Track and evaluate KPIs, including delivery times, transportation costs, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor the Addison Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and Coordinators.
- Provide coaching and performance feedback to drive team success.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Build and lead high-performing teams, ensuring operational and strategic goals are met.
- Implement performance management processes and conduct leadership reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of operations management experience in a food, beverage, flavors or ingredients manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in staff supervision, coaching, and development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAGE X3 preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and supply chain optimization strategies.

Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
